THE OLD MAN AND HIS DAUGHTER

                                   

            Once upon a time there lived an old man and his daughter Chesuruny. One day the old man decided to sell his donkey. Since the market was some distance away he asked his daughter to accompany him. On the way there was a thick forest with a path leading through it to the market. Chesuruny's father decided to go ahead, to see if there was any danger, leaving his daughter to drive the donkey. After traveling for a while she came to a small hut, and being right in the middle of the forest she thought it must be empty. But it wasn't, a group of hyenas inhabited it.

            When Chesuruny reached the hut she decided to spend the night there since it was already dark and she was unaware of its evil occupants. She knocked and the door was opened by one of the hyenas who welcomed her warmly inviting the unsuspecting Chesuruny to have supper. She made herself at home by the fire since it was cold. One of the hyenas locked the door since it was windy but no sooner was it shut than the hyenas pounced on the poor girl an d within a few minutes all that remained of her were her skin, clothes and a few bones.

 

The old man was by this time in the thick of the forest, and being tired, he decided to take a rest. He became restless when Chesuruny failed to turn up and decided to go back and look for her when he came to the small hut; he heard the sound of voices inside it which surprised him greatly. He decided to enter the hut and enquire from whoever was there if they had seen his daughter. He was greatly surprised when, instead of people, he was confronted by hyenas that set on him, intending to kill him. But the old man was experienced at fighting wild animals: a fight ensured and soon he had the upper hand, eliminating all the hyenas one by one.

           

 

Using the given text answer the following questions.

1. Justify the first paragraph and change its font color to blue.
2. Line space the first paragraph to 1.5
3. Using hanging indent, indent the first line of the first paragraph by 1.
4. Indent the second paragraph as follows, right 1", left 1" and justify it.
5. Add a paragraph border to the second paragraph. The border color should be red.
6. Double-space the third paragraph.
7. Using first line special indent, indent the first line of the third paragraph by 1.5.
8. Add shading to the last two lines of the third paragraph.
9. Space your paragraphs to 6 pt before and 6 pt after.
10. Adjust the page margins to the given measurements: left: 1,right: 1 top: 2, bottom: 2
11. Use the following information to create headers and footers
    headers: your name (align left), date (align right)
    footers: page number (align center); insert time (align right).
12. Apply art page border to your document.
